Who We Are
Tim Morgen, P.O. - Principal
- Tim Morgen grew up and lived in Southern California until graduating from the University of California at Davis with a BSCE in 1994. Tim subsequently gained an extensive engineering and design background in the metal plate-connected wood truss industry through employment at two large truss manufacturing facilities as well as two of the largest national plate manufacturers. Tim moved to Denver, CO with his wife Karen and incorporated CENSPACE, LLC shortly after he became a licensed Professional Civil Engineer in 2001. Tim created CENSPACE (Civil Engineering Space) in order to accommodate the growing need for practical and cost-effective solutions for truss inspection and repair services in Colorado, California and surrounding states.
- The business quickly grew to include structural damage assessment and design for new and existing residential and light commercial buildings. Tim has provided consulting and expert witness testimony for litigation involving manufactured trusses and other engineered wood components and continues to provide inspections and engineered repairs for various structural projects throughout the Western US. Tim has been an advocate for truss manufacturer’s and continues to bring a high level of passion for the structural building component industry at the newest CENSPACE location in Colorado Springs, CO.
Kyle Swartz, P.E. - Engineering Manager
- Kyle graduated from the University of Colorado at Boulder in 2002 with a Bachelor's of Science degree in Civil Engineering. He joined CENSPACE in the fall of 2011 with over 15 years of experience in the structural engineering field. Specializing in mainly residential remodels/additions and new home construction. He has worked on many different types of projects over the years from commercial and residential construction to assisting in the design of local artwork and sculptures. Throughout his career he has worked on the design of steel, timber, concrete and CMU structures.
- Kyle is a Colorado native and grew up in the town of Salida. He moved to the front range after high school to attend college in Boulder and has been in the area ever since. Kyle recently got married in June 2017. Kyle and his wife, Jenelle, currently reside in Superior, CO. Kyle enjoys the outdoors and keeps himself busy between his many outdoor hobbies. Kyle is an avid photographer and mountain biker.
Brandon Fleming, E.I.T. - Design Engineer
- Brandon K. Fleming is a registered EIT in the state of Colorado at CENSPACE, LLC. Brandon is responsible for providing our clients services that include structural engineering design and analysis of new commercial and residential structures, building remodels, forensic investigations, and engineering consulting. He has 7+ years of collective engineering experience in heavy industrial, residential, and commercial structural engineering. He is a Colorado native and attended the University of Colorado at Boulder where he received a degree in Architectural Engineering with a concentration in Construction Engineering Management.
